Hundreds of Yemeni nationals have infiltrated Kuwait in the past three months and the Ministry of Interior is dealing with the phenomenon, reports a local daily.

Aknowledgeable security source said the security authorities follow up the breach in security and have since arrested several infiltrators at checkpoints in Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh and Jahra. Investigations indicated that several of them reside in the bachelor areas.

The source added the Yemenis came to Kuwait via the land ports in search of jobs, noting directives have been issued to adopt tough security measures at the ports, especially on the trucks. He noted that trucks are the easiest means for infiltrators to sneak into the country in return for money. The source noted the Ministry of Interior is preparing to deport some Yemenis arrested recently, and campaigns will continue to nail all violators of residency law and those wanted by law.
