Six tourists were injured in a hot air balloon accident in Sharjah Al Madam desert, Sharjah Police said on Monday. The tourists from Europe, Asia, and South Africa suffered “moderate to serious” injuries and were shifted to Al Qassimi Hospital.
Ahmed bin Darwish, director of the central region police station, told local media that the police have commenced investigation in the cause of the balloon’s crash. A similar accident was reported in in February 2016 in Dubai, when a hot air balloon crashed due to bad weather, leaving 14 people injured.
