November 22, 2014, 1:28 pm

When: Until 4 Dec, 10am – 4pm Sunday to Thursday

Where: Sultan Gallery, South Sabhan, Block 8, Street 105, Building 168

Honolulu translates as ‘Land of Pearls’ in Arabic, or literally ‘Here are Pearls’. This multi-media exhibit is comprised of several series, including P.B.U.H., The Practice of Paradise, Pathways, Dish-Dash Angels and Barefoot in which the artist reconciles the notion of loss with the myth of paradise.

A Montreal-based photographer and graphic artist, Ms. Abouon questions her own place within a so-called Western culture on the one hand and an upbringing in a Muslim household on the other.
