Heads of delegations attending GCC meeting confer with His Highness Amir

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met in his office at Bayan Palace on Tuesday with State Minister for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Minister of Justice Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Sabah who introduced to him heads of the delegations taking part here in the 13th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministers and Heads of Civil Service Bureaus.

Attending the meeting was His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

His Highness the Amir praised the pace of GCC cooperation in all aspects including the field of civil service and those manning this field who focus in their work on seeking the proper channels to find meaningful employment for the youth in GCC countries. He furthermore noted that work done on behalf of GCC youth by civil service ministries and commissions cemented the joint endeavors of those overseeing the activities of these ministries and commissions to push ahead GCC cooperation toward attaining unified goals for the benefit of the youth in GCC countries.

On his part Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Sabah thanked His Highness the Amir's sentiments and directives aimed at ameliorating efforts at the GCC level to promote the advancement of GCC youth to serve their nations with honor and dedication.

Oman's Minister of the Ministry of Civil Service Khalid Bin Omar Al-Marhoon took the opportunity at today's meeting to congratulate His Highness the Amir on the step taken by the UN to confer on him the title of Humanity Leader and on Kuwait the Center for Humanitarian Work.

On behalf of his country, the Qatari Minister of the Ministry of Civil Service Dr. Eissa Al-Nuaimi said in the meeting that he was pleased with the 13th meeting of the GCC Ministers and Heads of Civil Service Bureaus because such meetings afforded the opportunity to remove obstacles that might stand in the way of joint GCC work.

As for GCC Secretary General for Humanitarian and Environmental Affairs Abdullah bin Aqlah Al-Hashem, who attended today's meeting with His Highness the Amir, he thanked the Kuwaiti ruler for showing great interest in promoting the well-being of GCC youth as they seek to serve their countries in the best way available to them.

Also attending the meeting today was Deputy Minister for Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Jarrah.
