Global Ilocano in Kuwait hold oath taking ceremony

New set of officers of Global Ilocano in Kuwait took the oath of office in the presence of the Philippine Ambassador to Kuwait Lamberto V. Monsanto on Thursday afternoon at the Philippine Embassy in Faiha.

In a brief interview with the newly inducted officer Napoleon Pintado, he told The Times that t in the past the organization has taken active participation in many projects of the community and has taken interest in educational projects and provision of assistance to distressed wards of the embassy shelter.

The new set of officers includes President: Napoleon Pintado, Vice President: Cherry Basilio, Secretary: Mary Jane Paet, Assistant Secretary: Emily Santos, Treasurer: Marcelino Davis Jr., Assistant Treasurer: Raquel Velasco, Auditor: Robert Cris Supsup Jr., Business Manager: Alpha Shiela Dalaspas, Public Relations Officer: Mary Corazon Nido, Advisers: Elmer Jacalne, Omar Olivares, Omar Jacalne, Edison Abajero, Cosmedin Aquino Jr, Bobby Bocoboc and Jonathan Po.

Ambassador Monsanto congratulated the new officers and urged them to fulfill their duties as duly elected officers, promote the well being of the OFWs in the country and help in strengthening the relationship between among OFWs and both countries Kuwait and Philippines. A reception followed in a restaurant in Kuwait City.
