Gulf University of Science and Technology (GUST), organized a colorful the ‘Festival of Living’ exhibition, with active participation of several embassies in Kuwait, at their campus in Mishref on Wednesday, 8 April.
The day-long exhibition was jointly inaugurated by President of GUST Donald L. Bates, and the university’s Professor of Humanities Armada S. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bates expressed his thanks to all the embassies that participated in the exhibition and helped to display the cultures of different countries around the world.
The exhibition featured the embassies of China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Lebanon, Russia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, UAE and Yemen, as well as the representative office of Taiwan.
Embassies participating in the ‘Festival of Living’ exhibition featured their country’s culture through various products, including ethnic wear and accessories such as scarfs, rings, bracelets and necklaces, paper fans, porcelain tea sets, as well as regional food and beverages from some countries. The embassy stalls also presented informative print and digital brochures and pamphlets outlining the scenic travel venues and attractive vacation destination in their countries.
