GCC promotes national identity among Gulf citizens

The GCC countries are keen to strengthen the national identity in the Arab Gulf states and to boost the sense of national belonging among the Gulf citizens.

GCC Assistant Secretary General for Cultural and Media Affairs Khaled Al-Ghassani released a press statement on Sunday, on the occasion of the 22nd GCC Ministers of Culture meeting in Riyadh, due next Tuesday.

Al-Ghassani said in the statement that the meeting will address a number of cultural issues and approving the cultural activities for year 2017-2018, beside the recommendations made on the workshop for strengthening the national identity, in addition of items addressed in the previous meeting in Qatar last year.
