A Ministry of Interior's (MoI) senior official said Tuesday the GCC Traffic Week, due next Sunday, aimed at intensifying the education of traffic and safety rules and regulations for all drivers.

Major-General Abdullah Al-Muhanna, Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs, said the traffic week of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) would bolster coordination among the six GCC countries with the objective of improving traffic and transportation.

He added in a press statement the GCC Traffic Week, held under the motto "You Decide Your Own Fate," would contribute to safer roads and less accidents. Al-Muhanna called on all drivers to abide by traffic safety rules for their own safety.

1st on the agenda should be - People change lanes as and when they please without giving the indicator light.

2nd - People enter from the right side entry lanes, directly to the 1st and 2nd lane. No lights, no slowing nothing.

3 - Slowing down the speed maniacs.Because of a few, the lives of all the others are endangered.

4) People driving toooooo slowly. It is an irritant and in our zeal to overtake them coz we are frustrated, accidents take place.

Good initiative by the authorities and hope the above are implemented.
