The Indian Community School Kuwait (ICSK), Senior Branch, held a splendid celebration on 14 November to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. The day is celebrated all over India as a day of celebration of childhood and symbolizes Pt. Nehru's deep affection and concern for children. The celebrations uplifted the young minds with gaiety and fervor, inspiring them to preserve their childhood in their minds throughout their life. ICSK campus wore a festive look as children walked in wearing colored clothes. Various quotes by Pandit Nehru embellished the school campus. A special assembly was organized on the day by the teachers of ICSK Senior as a tribute to the innocence of childhood. Each and every student was welcomed at the school gate by the team of teachers under the leadership of the Principal Dr. V. Binumon.

Dr. V. Binumon welcomed the gathering, urging the students to enjoy every small step that takes them ahead in life. Prayer, music and thoughts enriched the minds of the children reinforcing the values taught and followed. One teacher did a convincing impression of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India and rendered a great speech to the students upon the need to be proactive in the present scenario.

Musical extravaganza and dance performances by teachers further made the special assembly memorable. From the reaction of the many students dressed in colorful outfits, dancing and singing non-stop, one could tell that it was an occasion which would stay in their minds for a long time to come. Chocolates sprinkled with good advice and love distributed to all the students created the right mood of happiness throughout the day imprinting the happy memories in minds of all the children.
