A seminar on the role of national organizations in human rights is slated for Tuesday at Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute, the Foreign Ministry's Development Committee announced on Monday.

In a statement to KUNA, Assistant Foreign Minister on Coordination Affairs Nasser Al-Sabeeh said that the seminar is part of efforts to enhance Kuwait's commitment to the issue of human rights.

A bevy of international orators will take part in the seminar, including Secretary General of the Moroccan National Council for Human Rights Dr. Mohammad Al-Sabbar and Human Rights Officer at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights Dr. Nidal Al-Jurdi, Al-Sabeeh noted. The Foreign Ministry has issued invitations to a number of government officials as well as diplomats from foreign missions in the country, he added.
