The Canadian Embassy held the first Canadian stamps exhibition in Kuwait featuring the private collection of Joseph Khoury at the Ahmad Al Adwani Hall in Daiya from Oct 14 - 16.

The three-day exhibition was jointly inaugurated by James Hill, charge d'Affaires of the Canadian Embassy and Ali Al Youha, secretary general of the National Council for Culture, Arts & Letters.

Highlighting the stamp evolution of Canada, from the beginning of the first Canadian stamp to old mail letters, stamps, first day covers, souvenir sheets etc etc the exhibition showcased an interesting story and history of the Canadian Postal Service as each stamp gave an insight into Canada's development over time. All the stamps were created and produced by Canada design firms, artists, engravers, printing companies and Canada  bank note facilities for special issue.

An architect by profession Khoury was born in Lebanon in 1961 and only after moving to Canada began a passion for stamp collection. He is a member of Kuwait Society of Stamps and Currencies Collection, Canada Post Stamps Collecting, Lebanese Numismatic and Philatelic Club, USA mint, UK Royal Mint, Abu Dhabi Numismatic and Philatelic Club among others.
