A huge fire broke out in the basement of a house in Sabah Al-Nasser, spreading to an area of 1,000 square meters. A firefighter suffered from smoke inhalation but was treated at the site.
According to a press statement issued by Kuwait Fire Service Directorate, when the Control Room of KFSD receive information about the fire, firefighters from Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Ardiya, Salmiya and Capital fire stations rushed to the location.
They evacuated the tenants from the house and discovered that the fire broke out in the basement of area 1,000 square meters.
They extinguished the fire before it spread to other parts of the house. Investigations revealed that the basement was used to store furniture, wooden materials and some flammable items.
KFSD Director Lieutenant General Yousef Al-Ansari, Brigadier Mohammad Al-Mohamed and Colonel Khalil Al-Amir were present at the location.
