Many illegal expats held in Jleeb raids will be deported
During a crackdown on residence law violators, vice and people wanted by law the Ministry of Interior is said to have arrested 139 expatriates, most of them for violating residence and labor laws and referred them to the concerned authority to prepare their deportation from the country, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The daily added, the campaign was conducted in Jleeb Al-Shuyouk and supervised by the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Abdul Fattah Al-Ali. During the campaign police have also confiscated tons of foodstuff, electronic items and house ware from hawkers.
The Ahmadi police during a 5-hour campaign in Mangaf, Mahboula, Fahaheel and Ahmadi, have arrested 27 people wanted by law, for violating residence and labor laws and referred them to the authorities, reports Al-Shahed daily. Meanwhile, the Al-Qabas daily said the Farwaniya police in a similar 6-hour campaign have arrested 96 people and referred them to the authorities.
