Fahaheel zone emerges champions in Youth India Pravasi Sports 2016

Fahaheel zone emerged as champions in the Youth India Shifa Al Jazeera, Al Nahil Pravasi Sports, conducted under the tag line 'Sports for the betterment of society'.

Fahaheel Zone earned 128 points after a close contest in the event. Ababsiya Zone were runners up with 119 points, Farwaniya was third with 116 points and Salmiya was fourth with 91 points.

The events commenced at the Kaifan Amateur Athletic Stadium with a colorful march past of the four competing teams.

General Manager of IPC Kuwait, Engineer Abdul Azeez Al Duaij inaugurated the event. There were competitions for all age groups divided into categories as veterans, youth, super senior boys, senior boys, junior boys, sub junior boys, senior kids-boys, senior kids-girls, kids and junior kids.

The contestants competed in 100 meter , 50 meter , 200 meter , 400 meter , 800 meter , 1500 meter, long jump, high jump, shot-put, javeline throw, discus throw, arm wrestling and tug of war.

Hatim Zaman Farwaniya ( kids), Adeel Abdul Rahman Farwaniya ( junior kids), Ayas Farwaniya ( senior kids boys), Sulaikha Shaza Salmiya, Nuha Fahaheel, Riksa Mariyam Farwaniya ( super senior ), Thomas Fahaheel ( veterans ) and Haris Fahaheel Haseeb Fahaheel ( youth ) were individual champions in their respective categories.

KIG President Faisal Manjeri and Youth India President Najeeb CK distributed prizes to the winners. More than a thousand people from Abbasiya, Fahaheel, Farwaniya and Salmiya zones competed in the sports events.

The competitions were conducted under the supervision of well known PT teachers from the Indian schools Jos, Suresh, Jagath Joshi, Shyam and Irshad and were co-ordinated by Sajid AC, Anwar Shaji, Fasal Haq, Vahid Master, AbduRahman K , Layik, Sharafuddeen SAP, Nihad, Naisam, Rafeeq Babu, Siraj Srambikkal, Shafi PT, Salahuddeen and Muneer Madathil.

In the Tug of War match, Farwaniya, Abbasiya and Salmiya Zones obtained First, Second and Third positions respectively. Salmiya were first in March Past and Fahaheel were runners up. 

After the colorful March Past in the opening session, Sports Convener Muhammad Hafees administered the Oath of Sportsmanship. 

KIG General Secretary Shareef PT, Mohamed Ali of Masjidul Kabeer and Shifa Al Jazeera Farwaniya General Manager Zubair felicitated the gathering during the opening session. Shifa Al Jazeera Marketing Manager Muna, KIG West Zone President Feroz Hameed, Welfare Kerala Kuwait President Khaleelurahman, Rajab Cargo Manager Basheer, Youth India General Secretary Shafi Koyamma and KIG Shura Member Abdul Razak Nadvi were also present at the event.

Youth India Kuwait President Najeeb CK presided over the opening session and Vice President Abdul Basith welcomed the audience and Muhammed Haroon proposed the vote of thanks
