FWT organizes annual dinner for Friends Hospital Rawalpindi

The annual dinner for Friends Hospital Rawalpindi was organized by Friends Welfare Trust (FWT) at the Kuwait Continental Hotel on 14 June, 2015. Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait H.E. Muhammad Aslam Khan and other embassy officials attended the dinner. A report about Friends Hospital was presented by Dr. Tufail Ahmad Awan, and the finance report was presented by Ijaz Ahmad.

Dr. Zafar Shaikh, President of Friends Welfare Trust delivered an update about the future programmes of the organization in his speech. Tariq Iqbal presented a documentary on the Friends Hospital which was prepared by Voop Media who had specially visited the hospital in Rawalpindi.

Then, renowned personalities among the Pakistani community addressed the gathering and showed appreciation for the work of Friends Welfare Trust.

Shafi khan, Muhammad Arif Butt, President Pakistan Business Council, and Obed Arain, CEO & MD of Dar Gulf Consult, expressed appreciation for Noor Muhammad Malik and his entire team for doing a marvellous job in promoting health services in remote areas of Pakistan. Engineer Ubed Arain also mentioned in his address that everyone present should help to strengthen the efforts of Mr. Malik in improving the health facilities for the poor people in Pakistan.

H.E. Muhammad Khan said in his address that the Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait will fully co-operate with the trust whenever they need any help.

Volunteers of the Medical camp arranged by Friends Welfare Trust on 1 June were given certificates for their kind assistance. The recipients: Arshad Mahmood, Ahsan Maqbool, Saeed Ur Rehman, Ghulam Murshad, Haroon Hashmi, Niaz Ahmad and Jabran Butt, who received certificates from the Ambassador.

At the end of the function, Noor Muhammad Malik thanked all the guests for their presence and their generous donations. The programme ended with prayers and a delicious dinner.
