FIMA holds Iftar get together

Federation of Indian Muslims Associations (FIMA) in Kuwait held their Iftar Party last week at the Crowne Plaza hotel to mark the Holy Month of Ramadan. Welcoming the distinguished gathering of diplomats, Kuwaiti nationals, special invitees and association members, president of FIMA Siddquee Valiyakath thanked all those present for taking time off their busy schedules to join in breaking of the fast.

Valiyakath also expressed the association’s appreciation to the Chief Guest Indian Ambassador H.E. Sunil Jain for his support and good work done for the Indian community.

FIMA has been promoting peace and harmony and better understanding between faiths while also helping in various charitable causes.

Prominent Kuwaitis who spoke on the occasion included Dr. Sulaiman Shamsuddin – International Islamic Charitable Organization, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Duaij (IPC) and Dr. Mohammed Ghareeb Hatem (CCR Manager, EQUATE). While well-known personality Yusuf Chambers from the United Kingdom gave a short heart rendering talk on Islam.

FIMA Vice President Syed Ifthekhar Ahmed proposed the vote of thanks and all guests were treated to a lavish Iftar buffet.
