Deputy Director General for Planning Affairs at Kuwait Municipality and leader of the team in charge of evicting bachelors from family residential areas Eng Ahmad Al- Manfouhi has confirmed the eviction of bachelors from 54 percent of buildings found to have violated the law and 224 warnings were issued to the concerned landlords, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Al-Manfouhi made the announcement during the team’s meeting at the Capital Governorate Headquarters recently in the presence of Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Major General Abdul- Fatah Al-Ali, Deputy Director General for Farwaniya and Jahra Municipalities Affairs Eng Ahmad Al-Huzaim, representatives of governorates, Public Authority for Civil Information, Ministry of Electricity and Water, Director of Legal Affairs in the Municipality Advisor Mohammad Al-Jasser, and several other top officials at the Municipality.
He urged the officials not to relent in their efforts during Ramadan to ensure they issue warnings and put stickers on violating buildings for easy eviction after Ramadan.
He asked the representatives of governorates to send letters to their respective mayors, notifying them about the eviction of bachelors from family residential areas.
He said this will help them identify the actual number of violators and deal with bachelors who might return after eviction. He added the team will coordinate with the Ministry of Interior to deport erring expatriates, asserting the law must be strictly enforced on everyone.
