European woman swindles Bedoun man of KD 150,000 in fake business deal

A European woman of Arab origin swindled a Bedoun man of a large sum of money and disappeared, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to a security source, the Bedoun lodged a complaint at Salmiya Police Station, explaining that the woman had introduced herself as a businesswoman and convinced him that she will invest his money on projects in Europe and Kuwait. However, after receiving more than KD 150,000 from him, she disappeared. Investigations are ongoing to find and arrest her.

Meanwhile a Kuwaiti woman with three children sustained second and third degree burns respectively when gas cylinder in the air-conditioning unit of their house exploded in Firdous area. A security source said the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received report about fire in a house at Firdous, and firefighters with paramedics and security operatives rushed to the scene. The firemen were able to contain the flames after the occupants were evacuated, and the injured woman with the children were referred to Al-Babtain Hospital for treatment.
