Environment Day 2017-18 at Integrated Indian School

World Environment Day was celebrated on 5th June 2017 with full enthusiasm by Integrated Indian School. The theme resolute for the World Environment Day 2017 was ‘Connect People to Nature’.

The Student Council of Integrated Indian School took the initiative to conduct a short film fest based on World Environment Day illustrating the mankind’s impact, images of sprawling the urban housing, focusing on the current environmental conditions changing the perspective of our present situation.

The theme based film empowered the students to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development. It promoted that the pupil are pivotal in changing their attitude towards the environment for making a safe future.

The show was arranged in five classrooms all around the campus. All the classes from kindergarten to XII, including the teachers were presented the screenplay. The film had a simple yet effective message.” This is our home and only we are responsible to maintain its natural beauty forever and now is the time to act.’ The screenplay reinforced the three R’s of environmental conservation such as Re use, Reduce, Recycle.

t inspired the students and teachers and encouraged for positive action regarding protection of our environment. The film concluded with uplifting messages of the students, teachers and Principal. The event was a huge success.
