Minister of State for Housing Affairs and Minister of State for Services Affairs Dr. Janan Bushehri announced on Tuesday that one engineering office and six companies have been excluded from the Ministry's current and future tenders. Bushehri said at a news conference that such exclusion came following the conclusion of a report by a technical team tasked with investigating the damage inflicted on the infrastructure of Sabah Al-Ahmad's area which proved the presence of damage in the projects executed by those companies as a result of the recent heavy rainfall.

Bushehri added that the Cabinet reviewed at its meeting yesterday the technical report and took note of the damage caused to some infrastructure projects in the city of Sabah Al-Ahmad, pointing out that the Council issued its decision to exclude all companies and engineering offices that designed and implemented housing projects and infrastructure and roads that have been damaged.

She explained that the Council of Ministers issued a decision to exclude six companies, who had constructed the infrastructure in the city of Sabah Al-Ahmad, from Housing Ministry's tenders, in addition to an engineering consultancy office that designed the city, and pointed out that the Office was previously excluded from the projects of Sabah Al-Ahmad's area last July.
