The media center to cover the 2016 parliament elections, slated for November 26, is ready to be opened today, said an information ministry official on Monday.
The center will provide logistical and technical services to some 120 media people from all over the world, said Mohammad Al-Bdah, the center's chief and director of foreign media at the ministry, in statements to KUNA.
The fully-equipped media center will be at Sheraton Hotel downtown Kuwait City and to be opened on Tuesday by Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Al-Bdah noted.
He further pointed out that a complete program is set for media personnel, including the holding of two seminars; on history of elections in Kuwait and on Kuwait's pioneering humanitarian action.
Media delegations are also scheduled to visit the National Assembly (parliament) building, as well as visiting a number of elections' headquarters throughout the five constituencies in order to familiarize the guests with the electoral process, he said.
