An Egyptian expatriate was hit and killed by a Kuwaiti motorist in the course of a fight between a group of nine Kuwaitis and 15 Egyptian nationals inside Rehab complex in Hawally area. The suspect who’s in his 20s confessed knocking the citizen down with a ‘pickup’ to free his friend from the Egyptians during a clash over KD 19 price difference of a play station.
Two citizens and two Egyptians also suffered various degrees of injuries. Security sources said acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs in the Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah and other high ranking security officials went to the scene to resolve the issue and managed to disperse a large gathering of spectators from the roads. All participants of the fight were referred to concerned authorities, and the suspect was charged with premeditated murder.
