Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security at Ministry of Interior Major General Abdel Fattah Al-Ali demanded the referral of an Egyptian man in his 40s to the General Department for Criminal Investigation to determine how he obtained several ID cards of Kuwaitis and Egyptians and how he used them, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to a security source, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received several complaints from citizens and expatriates about a beggar who requested passersby for money under the claim that his car ran out of fuel and that he forgot his wallet, a police patrol was dispatched to the location. After finding the Egyptian and searching him, officers found drivers’ licenses and civil IDs belonging to Kuwaitis and Egyptians. They also discovered that a travel ban was placed on him. Records of the CCTV cameras of a commercial complex where he was caught begging proved that he was begging for about five hours and managed to collect KD 8.5.
