Egyptian Ex-MP arrested selling fake health cards at KD 150 each

An Egyptian expatriate known as ‘Abu Radi’ was arrested for producing and selling fake health cards from Ministry of Health at a cost of KD 150 for each application. According to security sources, when Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Travel Documents Major General Sheikh Mazen Al- Jarrah received information about the suspect’s activities, he instructed to form a team for investigations.

During investigations, the team summoned three Egyptians and an Iranian who confessed that they bought the fake health cards from a representative of an Egyptian expatriate ‘Abu Radi’ for which they paid KD 150.

The officers arrested ‘Abu Radi’ who revealed that he was a former member of the Egyptian parliament, an engineer and a businessman. During interrogations, he confessed that he sold the health cards for KD 150 to eight Egyptians and two Iranians. The suspects were referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations.
