Food: Edo has recognition for its authentic Japanese flavors. Although a classic, its menu introduces new dishes and presents weekly specials ranging from nigiri and sashimi plates, offering mentaiko (cod roe), to botan ebi (spot prawn) and premium salmon. Beyond weekly specials, they serve zaru soba (cold buckwheat noodles) with different sauces, curry udon and the chef's ni omakase.

Atmosphere: Its elegant building, designed as a modern one-floor villa, has floor to ceiling windows, which liberally allow the beauty of the outdoor zen garden to flow indoors and constantly light up the interiors.

Best Bite: Buffet Fridays. Kyoto Roll—crab, tempura, tuna and mint with ginger and avocado.

Best Bit: Tuesday jazz nights
