Kuwait's Environment Public Authority organized on Sunday a workshop dubbed (Identifying Environmental Issues in Kuwait) in collaboration with the Environmental Studies and Research Institute at the University of Ain Shams in Egypt.

EPA's Chairman of the Board and Director General Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Sabah said in a statement that the workshop comes in order to effectuate the memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the field of research and environmental studies that took place last year between the two sides.

He added that the workshop is the first step of cooperation in the field of scientific research with the Egyptian Institute, particularly in the field of formation of an environmental information database, in addition to proposing programs in the sustainable development.

He explained that there are similar environmental issues between Kuwait and Egypt, chiefly, the red tide, dead fish, waste and car exhausts.
