Durrar Toastmasters Club marked its last meeting of the year 2015 on the 19 December filled with the spirit of Christmas and the New Year following the theme 'Love'.

The ambience of the venue reflected the theme with heart-shaped balloons and a solemn Christmas tree set at the backdrop at the dais. The Toastmaster of the Day effortlessly wove the expression of love through all the sessions of the meeting. The Table Topics master beseeched all the participants who shared their sentiments on various theme-related topics. Most of the toastmasters wore red and white in accordance with the theme and the short break allowed guests to enjoy sumptuous cake and cookies.

During the last six months, the Club has held meetings on various themes varying from 'Power of Words' to 'The Best Lesson I have learnt' and had celebrations for Ramadan and Diwali.

It also had one of its meetings in unique surroundings, viz., at Riggae Park, where the families of members also joined and participated in table topics and enjoyed listening to prepared speeches by members.  Even though the club is less than a year old, its enthusiastic members conduct each meeting with style.

The members plan to ring in the New Year 2016 also in style by having its first meeting as a Speech Marathon on the 9 January, 2016. Guests are always welcome to attend the club meetings.

Durrar Club Executive Committee is actively seeking new members interested in enhancing their communication and leadership skills.  Those interested can send a whatsapp message to 98989697 or 66850415.
