Finally! Something to buy that person in your life who already has everything.
Dracula’s Castle, better known as Bran Castle in Transylvania, Romania, is looking for a new Count.
The castle is believed to be the basis for the fortress in the gothic novel, Bram Stoker’s 'Dracula', based loosely on the life of Vlad Dracul.
“If someone comes in with a reasonable offer, we will look at who they are, what they are proposing, and will seriously entertain the idea,” said Mark Meyer, the attorney handling the sale.
The 57-room manor on 22 acres was completed in 1388 and the asking price could go as high as $135 million.
Each year more than 560,000 people visit the castle, which is reportedly in pretty good shape —except for the plumbing.
“At present, it makes a tidy profit,” Meyer said. “But in the right hands it has the potential to generate far more revenue than we could ever imagine.”
