Chelsea striker Diego Costa was a surprise participant in the Al-Roudan Tournament in Kuwait at the weekend. The Spanish international took part in the five-a-side event, which includes 80 teams and had former AC Milan star Andriy Shevchenko and Barcelona legend Carlos Puyol also taking part.
Costa, despite having injury concerns towards the end of the season, did not hold back and showed off his array of skills, as well as his strength, as he bundled opposition players off the ball. After the game, he donned a ceremonial Arab robe (bisht) and waved to fans around the pitch. The 26-year-old will return to Chelsea training next week ahead pre-season games against New York Red Bulls, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona on their US tour before the Community Shield against Arsenal on August 2 at Wembley.
