Deportation for 20 gamblers – Den run by Asians
January 15, 2018, 9:17 am

Police acting on a tip-off recently raided an apartment and arrested 20 gamblers and referred them to the concerned authority, reports Al-Anba daily.

The men were arrested in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. Preparations are underway to deport them. A police source said the apartment was put under surveillance for several days before police taking a search and arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution finally barged into one of the rooms and arrested the men.

Police sources said the apartment was run by two Asians and each gambler before starting play had to pay KD 1 entry fee. The ‘gambling den’ opened at 11 pm and closed at 3:00 am.

Meanwhile, police are looking for unidentified person/persons for writing graffiti ‘DAESH’ in big bold letters on the wall of a nursery in Surrah, reports Al-Anba daily.

However, a security source said it appears it is the work of a juvenile who might have ‘scribbled’ the word, without actually knowing the meaning of it.

Another security source said an unidentified Kuwaiti who saw the word written on the wall informed the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry and Hawalli police force headed by Major-General Abdeen Al-Abdeen and Forensic men visited the site.

The nursery is adjacent to an open ground. And, a 1999-born Bedoun girl who was earlier reported as missing was found and referred to a police station in Capital Governorate, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
