Dasman Diabetes Institute launches collaboration with Prime Advanced Learning Institute

Dasman Diabetes Institute, which was founded by Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science, and Prime Advanced Learning Institute launched a new partnership to deliver world-class education, training, and interactive learning.

With this collaboration, DDI and PALI aim to become a focal point for education with a mission to generate cutting-edge innovations in training for professionals and community engagement.  Furthermore, the collaboration will provide opportunities for clinical and scientific research, placing Kuwait at the forefront of integrated medical technologies and training.

The strategic partnership will provide medical simulation, state-of-the-art training, and education from world-class healthcare experts.  The aim is to attract diverse healthcare professionals from Kuwait and other GCC countries to enhance clinical skills and create a learning hub for Continuous professional develops across healthcare disciplines. The training programs will reflect the epidemiological needs of Kuwait and its GCC neighbors leading to better health for the Kuwaiti community.

The partnership was made possible through the efforts of Dr. Qais Al Duwairi, Director General at DDI and the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science (KFAS). The first series of courses were delivered at Dasman Institute last week, including an Advanced Interventional Echo and 3D Imaging Workshop. The course was delivered by world renowned experts from McGill University using innovative technology and interactive learning techniques.

This was the first course of its kind to be launched in Kuwait and was widely attended by physicians from the public and private sector hospitals. Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery Courses were also launched, in line with the regional trend to increase organizational preparedness for unforeseen risks to continued operations. These unique courses will be regularly available in Kuwait in both Arabic and English.
