Customs seizes heroin from an Iranian

Customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport recently foiled an attempt by an Iranian to smuggle 750 grams of heroin into the country, reports Al- Rai daily.

The daily added, the General Department for Drugs Control was tipped off that the suspect will be arriving with the drugs. As soon as the suspect arrived at the airport the officers did not find anything in his baggage and decided to send him to the Farwaniya Hospital for an X-Ray.

The X-Ray showed heroin-filled capsules in his stomach. He was given laxative to purge the drugs. During interrogation the man admitted to smuggling drugs before on three occasions. The drugs and the Iranian have been referred to the concerned authority.

Smuggling bid foiled

The customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport have arrested an unidentified Egyptian for attempting to smuggle 10,000 Tramadol pills into the country, reports Al-Rai daily. The contraband and the suspect have been handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control.
