The Republic of Cuba and the State of Kuwait signed in the capital an agreement on mutual visa exemption for holders of official, diplomatic, service and special passports.

The agreement was signed by Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs of the Foreign Ministry of Kuwait, ambassador Khaled Al Jarallah and the ambassador of Cuba in Kuwait Andres Gonzalez Garrido.

In this way the two nations ratify the will to continue expanding bilateral relations.

Cuba and Kuwait established diplomatic relations on May 13, 1974 and currently maintain cooperation links in the areas of health and sport. The State of Kuwait cooperates with the rehabilitation of the water supply in the cities of Havana, Santiago de Cuba and Holguin.
