The Courtyard by Marriott Kuwait, in collaboration with the Department of Civil Defence, conducted a successful fire drill involving all hotel employees. The drill was a great opportunity to provide the required knowledge and training for all the associates as well as empower them to handle and face all circumstances that might arise during emergencies, especially fire.
The management team of the Courtyard Hotel Kuwait notified all guests of the routine exercise well in advance, to avoid any kind of inconvenience or disturbance. The fire drill started as soon as the fire alarm bells went off and all hotel employees immediately headed to the designated assembly area. Inspections and head counts were done, as representatives from Department of Civil Defence along with the hotel's Loss Prevention team ensured everyone's safety.
The fire drills are conducted on a quarterly basis to ensure that the hotel is in line with its safety and security goals, and provide guests with a safe and secure environment.
In addition, all guest rooms, meeting rooms, and restaurants at the Courtyard by Marriott Kuwait are equipped with the latest smoke detectors and cutting-edge fire-fighting equipment that are in line with international standards to ensure maximum security.
Commenting on this initiative, George Aoun, Cluster General Manager of Marriott Hotels in Kuwait said, “The safety of our guests and associates is our top priority. Through these regular fire drills, we want to ensure that everyone at the hotel has enough knowledge and well trained on how to handle emergencies before professional help arrives.”
