Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr. Ali Al-Omair said Wednesday the Ministry of Public Works pumped up to KD 3.7 billion into construction projects. "These mega projects are worth investing in," he said, noting that a lot of these projects have seen the light or entered the final stages.
Dr. Al-Omair made the comments while opening the exhibition of the construction projects' sector of the Ministry of Public Works. "One of these projects is the Sheikh Jaber Hospital, which is 86 percent complete, and the new headquarters of the Ministry of Education, to be finalized by the end of 2016," the minister pointed out.
Regarding the strategy to invest in tourist projects in Kuwait's islands, he said this strategy was presented to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. "The strategy has got initial approvals and will be part of the coming development plans after finalizing the related designs and details," he added.
He took pride in the achievements made by the Ministry's construction projects' sector in implementing major projects for the various state departments and contributing to the realization of the objectives of the country's development plans.
