A huge musical show ‘Spring Tunes’ featuring famed Ambassador of Indian Musical Forms, Chitra Roy will perform in Kuwait. The event will be held on Saturday, 10 May 2014 at Al Zomoroda Hall, Kuwait. Chitra Roy will sing semi-classical music; ghazals and sufi songs. She will be accompanied by 3 artists who are talented in their own right. His Excellency, Mr. Sunil Jain, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, will be the Chief Guest of the evening.
Chitra Roy is a singer, lyricist and composer par excellence, leading her fans to bestow the title, “Nightingale of Art of Living”. The grandeur in her presence, the charm in her smile and the grace in her demeanor only adds to the spell she casts on all who attend her concerts. She is a Gold Medalist in Music (Hons); M. Phil in Indian Classical Music and has trained under the guidance of renowned music Gurus such as Pt. T.L. Rana and Shri Laxman Krishna Rao Pandit from Gwalior, Gharana.
She has envisaged, composed and created a grand musical symphony of over 200 musicians in Indian Classical Music for the first time in the Cultural history of National Capital of India in 2007. And she took this vision forward to “Brahmnaad” â€’ a Mega Symphony of more than 1000 sitarists in 2008. Her efforts were highly applauded by the audience and the performance went down in the Guinness World Records in 2008.
