Kuwaiti foodies were treated to an exclusive opportunity to learn some tasty tricks of the trade from popular and acclaimed Chef Manal Al-Alem and Kuwaiti celebrity Chef Wafaa Al Kandari, the Fatafeat TV star at an exclusive cooking session hosted by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) at the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait today.
The event gave the local media and food bloggers a small teaser of Chef Manal and Chef Wafaa’s exciting collaboration with the Dubai Food Festival (DFF) 2016 – a citywide culinary celebration which kicks off on 25 February and runs until 12 March, 016, under the theme 'Celebrate Taste'. The festival which kicks off with the Kuwait National Day holiday will be an ideal destination for visitors from Kuwait who chose to spend their holidays in Dubai. One of the signature events of DFF this year – Dine with the Stars will see Chef Manal Al-Alem create a specially crafted three-course menu and share personal stories about her passion for cooking for food aficionados in the region.

As part of its delicious and diverse events lined up for this year’s edition, the Dubai Food Festival has teamed up with celebrity chefs from across the region to host a series of unique events – including the first-ever Dubai Restaurant Week, which will have thirty of the city’s most sought after restaurants offering bespoke three-course set menus (at a festive price of just KD15). The Fatafeat Kitchen at Lafayette Gourmet in Galeries Lafayette, Dubai Mall on 26 -27 February , will create another celebrity chef focus. Spotlighting the region’s most popular home-grown food channel Fatafeat, the Fatafeat Kitchen will welcome Chef Mohamed Orfali who specializes in Modern Arabic cuisine; Chef Wafaa Al Kandari – expert of authentic Khaleeji cuisine; Chef Salma Soleiman – the modern housewife of Egyptian cuisine; Chef Leyla Fathallah Bayoon – best known for her cooking tips for newlyweds; Chef Da’ad Abu-Jaber – an expert on international cuisine with an Arabic twist; Chef Tarek Ibrahim – The Master of Meat and Chef Sadiqa Ismail from Kuwait.
