A bright morning and an equally brilliant record, in the 4th annual event, there was a record number – a total of 96 children, who participated in the CRYwalk 2015.
Organized by FOCC (Friends of CRY Club, Kuwait), the 2015 event at Salmiya attracted 96 children, an increase number from 43 children last year. Children from nearby Salwa as well as children residing in distant areas like Shuhada and far-off Abbasiya area also eagerly participated in the walk for a noble cause. After the huge showing at Mahboula, FOCC volunteers were hoping for an even greater surprise, and were not disappointed. The volunteers would like to thank the participants for a great show.
Among the children who participated, there were many who were under 6 years of age, but 4 children under the age of three walked as well. The most beautiful sight was two small girls at 20 and 18 months , walking by themselves, with their mothers tailing behind.
The total collective distance walked by all was 403 km, at an average of 4.2 km per child. FOCC extends their deepest appreciation for the children and their parents' efforts and hope that CRYwalk will keep growing in the year to come.
FOCC organizes 3 annual events for children – CRYcket for children under 14 years, CRYchess and CRYwalk for children of up to high-school age. The next event, the CRYcket is scheduled on Friday, 10 April. CRY will be releasing their annual Souvenir as well. Sponsors may take this opportunity to advertise their products as well as support a noble cause simultaneously. The website is www.focckwt.org .
