British Academies offering sports and art activities for an action-packed summer
March 19, 2018, 2:04 pm

The British Academies (BA) have kick-started term three, and with a wide array of courses such as swimming, football, tennis and karate at the British Academy of Sport (BAS) and theatre, jazz, ballet and music tuition at The British Academy of International Arts (BAIA), there really is a class available for everyone.

Throughout the year, BAS and BAIA organize spectacular events. On the calendar for Term Three is the BAS Olympia Cup Volleyball Tournament for women on Friday 30 March. Held on the British School of Kuwait (BSK) campus and patronized by the Serbian Ambassador; it is a major fixture on the sporting calendar in Kuwait. It doesn’t stop there, BAS will be holding their extremely popular Summer Camp starting on Sunday, 17 June with a huge range of sporting activities during the morning and a stand-alone swimming camp in the afternoon.

Following on from the hugely successful Musicality Dance Show in February, BAIA on Broadway, set to be a musical theatre extravaganza, is to be held on 4 and 5 May in BSK. Students are provided with the opportunity to perform hits from the best-known musicals, with both productions giving students the opportunity to put all they have learned into stage practice. BAIA courses lead to prestigious examinations with a number of UK examination boards; BBO, NATD and LAMDA. All of which take place in Term Three.

The highly qualified coaches and teachers at BAS and BAIA are keen to welcome new students as well as those who have been with the Academies for a number of years. Catering for children from 3-18 years of age, courses complement the extra-curricular activities of school-age children throughout their school lives. BA recognises the importance of promoting sports, performance arts and creative arts to children; a healthy mind and a healthy body are such important aspects of life.

For further information and to enrol, visit the BA office located in Clarence House in Salwa Block 1, Street 1 or call BAIA on 50962809 or BAS on 99458013. Keep up-to-date with the British Academies via Instagram: @baiainq8 and @baskuwait.
