Brigada OFW stages showcase of Filipino rap performers

Rap’putaition concert, a rap concert showcasing the top Filipino rap groups in Kuwait, was staged at the Elysee Hotel Ballroom and featured Espada Kuwait, Rap Infantry and Pobreng Rapper with outstanding performances by vocalists Shaima Khuraibet and Mark Daniel Benitez with mentor “Kadz” of Rap Infantry. ER Dance crew perked the night with remarkable and well rehearsed dance performances.

The event kicked-off with the singing of the Philippine and Kuwait National Anthems followed by an inspirational prayer. Front act artists young protégée Mark Daniel Benitez and his tutor Kadz took the stage and earned a rousing applause from the crowd. Intermission numbers were also provided for by Nympha Garcia and Acoustic Group backed-up President of Brigada OFW Arthur Tabunda with vocal renditions of “Every breath you take” and “You’re a God”.

A surprise number from Founder and President of Samahan ng Pilipinong Musikero sa Kuwait Claire Constantino was also one of the best performances of the night. Main acts of the night include par excellence performances of Rap Infantry, Pobreng Rapper and Espada Kuwait.  

Tabunda extends his gratitude to sponsors of the show; ECHO Karaoke, Gerben Gumapac of Chic, Thoots Punig Sauradjan, ICSA, Nymfa Garcia of Beeron Roben Silver, Thony Pangubitan Jr., Madis Nunag Buhawwas, MUSIK, Elysee Hotel, Joseph Vargas and Danny Endaya of Brown Rabbit band, Jeffrey Carig of Pinoy DJ Kuwait, President of UFCORG Antonio Gonzalez and to GMA 7 news Kuwait, the morning Talk and The Times News.

Tabunda disclosed that more projects are currently on pipeline and Brigada OFW takes active participation in projects of Filcom and promotes its group’s advocacy to help and support the OFWs in Kuwait and worldwide.
