The event kicked off by a short speech given by the President of Fadia Survive & Thrive Association, Dr. Rania Azmi, in which she thanked everyone for joining today and supporting the cancer awareness cause. She explained the importance of prevention and discussed the agenda for the awareness event, detailing that she will be sharing some best practices and small changes that participants can do daily to prevent cancer and live a happier and healthier life.

She then introduced with much gratitude the distinguished guest speaker Dr. Fahad Abdul Rahman Marafi, the President of Kuwait Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, for sharing his knowledge and time for this cause as he talked about the scientific part of prevention based on his extensive experience.

In addition, some cancer patients and their family members also opened up to share their stories and battles with cancer throughout the open discussion part which was moderated by Fadia Abdel Salam Ibrahim, the founding member of Fadia Survive & Thrive Association.

“The JW Marriott Kuwait is honored to join the fight against breast cancer by hosting this informative awareness session. And we would like to thank Dr. Rania Azmi for this opportunity,” said George Aoun, Cluster General Manager at Kuwait Marriott Hotels.
