Customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport in coordination with the Criminal Investigations Department recently foiled the attempt of an Arab to smuggle 6,000 narcotic pills (Tramadol) into the country, reports Al-Anba daily.

The arrest came after the Criminal Investigations Department informed the airport customs authorities that an Arab man will be attempting to smuggle the narcotics into the country.

Customs officers then searched the suspect upon arrival at the airport and seized 6,000 Tramadol pills which were neatly packed in a waist belt. The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the Criminal Investigations Department.
