Bhavans Kuwait achieves a remarkable feat in ICSK Mega Arts Fest

Indian Educational School, (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kuwait) (IES) emerged victorious bagging two ‘Kalathilakam’ (the acme of artistic talents) awards to its credit. The ICSK Mega Arts Fest was organized by the Indian Community School, Kuwait (ICSK) to encourage and applaud the amazingly talented students of Indian Schools in Kuwait. More than 2000 contestants from as many as 21 Indian schools in Kuwait proudly partook in the biggest art fest of the academic year 2016-2017 in various contests. The contests comprised 80 categories of artistic, literary, oratory, dramatic, music, and performing arts events. 

Bhavanites proved their might and mettle yet again with an astonishing array of achievements in almost all the realms of the Art Fest. More than 20 Bhavanites were crowned and accolades were bestowed upon them during the prize distribution ceremony held on 2 December, 2016 which was indeed a spectacle to behold. The inspiring presence of the Oscar Award winner Razool Pookkutty added luster to the occasion. The concluding segment of the Arts Fest was inaugurated by the honorable Ambassador of India to Kuwait H.E. Sunil Jain.

Reine Mary John and Nakshathra Neeraja Binu of Bhavans Kuwait bagged the ‘Kalathilakam’ awards of categories 1 and 2 respectively. The amazing duo amassed prizes in  many off and onstage events.

Bhavanites also won many prizes in the literary contests like Extempore Speech, Poetry Writing, Essay Writing, Poetry Recitation, Story Writing, and also in artistic and cultural events like Water Coloring, Classical Music, Light Music, so on and so forth.

T. Premkumar, Principal, IES (Bhavans Kuwait) congratulated the ‘Kalathilakams’ and the prize winners. He also thanked the earnest endeavors of the IES staff which paved way for the success of the ‘Team Mega Fest- IES.’ As Bhavanites keep adding golden feathers to the crown of Bhavans, its fraternity rejoices and celebrates the ten glorious years of their Alma Mater’s profound presence in the Middle East.
