The Kuwait Times, one of the most well-known dailies in Kuwait organized an open art contest last month namely ‘Kuwait Beautiful and Green Students Art Competition.’ Over 15,000 thousand students from all the schools in Kuwait represented their institutions in the interschool open art contest. Painters par excellence of Indian Educational School, Kuwait (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan) once again proved their pre-eminence in art contests and painting by winning prizes in all the categories that they have partaken.
This astounding achievement proudly proclaims the quality of art education at Indian Educational School. The painters par excellence of IES won many an interschool art competition yesteryears as well. The school boasts of a roomy arena set aside exclusively for training the students the various genres of art such as painting, collage, drawing, and sketching. The head of the art faculty Mr.Mukundan Pazhanimala and his team expressed happiness over winning the contest. He said that Bhavanites had won many prizes in the art competitions organized by Kuwait Times earlier as well.
The competition was held under four categories on the basis of the contestants’ age ranging from 6 to 17 years. Fida Ancy , Prakha Bhandari, Abhiram Vinod Kumar of grades 3, 4 and 5 respectively bagged runners up prize in the sub junior category.
The saga of success continued in other categories as well. Ibtihal Iftikhar and Eleena Sara Mathew of grades 5 and 7 respectively won the runners up prize in the junior category. Gayathri Jayakumar of grade 9, Catherine Vismaya Biju, and Abu Amaan Pal of grade 11 have bagged runners up prize in the senior and super senior categories.
T.Premkumar, the principal, IES congratulated the winners on their remarkable achievement. He thanked the art faculty for their painstaking efforts that helped Bhavan gain indomitable supremacy in the interschool art competitions.
