The dauntless debaters of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, (Indian Educational School) bagged the first position in the IMWA Edumeet 2015 Interschool debate contest amidst thunderous applause. The contest was held in the SIMS auditorium, Salmiya.

The contest was adjudged by eminent judges. Debaters from 14 schools participated in the competition. The novel feature of this year’s IMWA debate was perhaps the post-debate grilling session. The judges asked many an attention-grabbing as well as thought provoking question to the debaters. The audience extended their encouragement to the contestants by giving them rounds of rolling applause when they faced the nerve-racking questions with ease and resolute confidence.

The undaunted debaters of Indian Educational School D.R. Pratyusha and Vanshika Gandotra were declared as the winners of the debate contest. Miss Pratyusha was chosen as the winner of the contest and Miss Vanshika the first runner up of the debate contest. Their awe-inspiring performance helped Bhavan walk away with the coveted overall championship trophy with immense pride and contentment.

The IMWA Edumeet organizers congratulated the winners on their awe-inspiring achievement. The principal, Indian Educational School Mr.  T. Premkumar congratulated the champions on their achievement. He also thanked the vibrant English Department of IES for the support extended to the winning duo that has done the school proud.
