Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, and State Minister for Planning and Development Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh has requested people to be cautious when dealing with those who demand for donations through phone calls, requesting to immediately report such calls through one of the hotline numbers — 22484159 or 50523314, so that necessary legal action can be taken to protect the reputation of the country and rights of the donors, reports Al- Rai daily.

She affirmed that collection of cash donations is strictly prohibited and that the donors must receive receipts with the value of their donations to ensure they are sent to the right beneficiaries. Al-Sabeeh explained that a clear mechanism has been established and approved for collection of donations this year by creating receipts stamped by the ministry, introducing the use of K-net and providing agents of committee with cards to indicate that the ministry has approved them to collect donations from specified locations. She stressed that donations cannot be collected in mosques, requesting people to deal with only the approved official bodies.
