A spectacular musical night featuring talented musicians Michel Vrydag, Bram Weijters and Daniel Jonkers was organized by the Belgium Embassy in cooperation with Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah (DAI) at the Yarmouk Cultural Centre on 4 March. The trio gave a rousing performance in a program that drew from their collective experience with various musical genres from jazz to pop.

Michel Vrydag, a bassplayer and composer, is active on the Jazz scene, and has performed with many noteworthy bands in the music industry including Paul Di’Anno, the original singer of the legendary Iron Maiden. His performances have even taken him across Europe, and India.

Bram Weijters, an extraordinary Antwerp based pianist and composer, has made a name for himself in Belgian hip hop, alongside popular singer-songwriters and alternative bands.

Daniel Jonkers, drummer, is a well-known name in the improvisational and alternative pop scene in Belgium and The Netherlands. His work is evident in several albums like Tim Finoulst Trio (Narrative), Toni Mora Quartet (Beyond Words) among others. He has also toured across Europe and Asia.
