Ahmadi securitymen confiscated 178 bottles of locally brewed liquor and equipment used for manufacturing liquor from an illegal liquor factory located behind a bachelors’ accommodation in Sabah Al-Ahmad area.
According to security sources, when Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Ali Al-Mari received information about a group of expatriates manufacturing liquor behind their accommodation in Sabah Al-Ahmad area, a team was formed for investigations. They raided the liquor factory to find barrels and other equipment used for manufacturing liquor along with 178 bottles of locally brewed liquor.
They confiscated these items and referred them to the concerned authorities. Investigations are ongoing to arrest the two unidentified suspects who had been manufacturing liquor.
Meanwhile, a 24-year old Kuwaiti citizen was arrested near a petrol station in Riqqa area in possession of 10 narcotic pills, 6 cigarettes rolled with hashish, a sharp object and tools used for consuming drugs. He was referred with the items to Directorate General for Drug Control for necessary legal action against him.
