Bangladeshi held for stealing cables, copper rods

A Bangladeshi expatriate was arrested in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area in possession of 1 ton of electrical cables and copper rods which he and his accomplices had stolen from Jaber Al-Ahmad area. According to security sources, Farwaniya securitymen, based on instructions from Farwaniya Security Director Major General Mohammad Al- Enzi, were patrolling Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area when they stopped an individual for checking but the latter started running. After they chased and caught him, they checked his vehicle and found copper rods and electrical cables as well as a tool used to cut cables.

When questioned, he confessed that he and a group of compatriots stole the items from Jaber Al-Ahmad area with the intention of selling them. He was referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them. Meanwhile, Mubarak Al-Kabeer securitymen arrested an Egyptian expatriate for stealing cables from buildings under construction. They also discovered that he was involved in several theft cases.
