Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, on Monday strongly denied rumours circulating via social media that one of its planes has been in a collision in Kuwait. Reports and videos purported to show that a Gulf Air aircraft had collided with a Kuwait Airways aircraft on the Kuwait airport runway earlier on Monday. "Reports and videos claiming to portray such events are erroneous," the airline said in a statement.
It added that the airline’s six daily Bahrain-Kuwait flights are operating as per the schedule. "The airline would like to reiterate its ongoing commitment to the safety, protection and comfort of our passengers and employees," the statement added.
